Japan is a nation located on east coast of Asia between Sea of Japan & Pacific Ocean, it consists over 6000 of small island & 'Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu & Shikoku' are the largest of them which are together make up 97% percent of its total land area, Japan lies to the east of the sea of Japan it also called the east sea & east china sea, The nation of Russia, South Korea, North Korea & China located to its West & Taiwan in its South. In Japan 73% of its land area is mountainous, Japan's highest mountain is “Mount Fuji” (3776m or 12,388 ft.) & highest point in Japanese Alps is “Mount Kita” (3139m) mostly the mountain areas are heavily forested & the forest cover in Japan is 68.55% of its total land area, Japan is a nation beautiful in outside but quite potentially dangerous inside since it is located in volcanic active zone along the pacific deeps & surrounded by four major tectonic plates this means Japan subjected to earthquakes & Tsunamis, in this island it can feel the low-intensive tremors, volcanic activities & as well the earthquakes.

There are destructive earthquakes occur in Japan several times for a century which is inevitable & bring an immense damages to the nation.The rivers in Japan are short against its total land size & most of the rivers are Rise from Mountain peaks & alp forests which are steep & swift, the longest river in Japan is “Shinano River” (367km) & the largest fresh water Lake is “Lake Biwa”, there are lot of Rivers & tributaries in japan but most of they are not long more than 300km.

These rivers gives dashing beauty to the nation & has the big economic value, there are different Bureaus in japan which are taking responsibility on each rivers in Japan.Generally Japan is a rainy climatic country with a high Humidity due to its wide range of latitude with a four main seasons which has heavy snow & dry long summers depend on the areas, all four seasons brings Japan a ravishing beauty, mainly the 'Cherry blossom' period which happens in April to May & in the four main parts in Japan which are 'Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu & Shikoku' each has different view & outlook throughout the seasons.
